Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about LazyMeals before launch.
The product
What is LazyMeals?
LazyMeals is a meal planning app. It creates a personalised weekly meal plan for you or your whole household, with recipes, step-by-step cooking and a grocery list.
How does LazyMeals work?
You tell LazyMeals who you’re cooking for and what they like in a short chat. It drafts a plan, you adjust it if you want, and then you get the schedule, recipes and grocery list.
How does LazyMeals create meal plans?
LazyMeals uses AI together with your preferences, such as diets, allergies, foods you like and avoid, cooking time and how many meals you want. It tells you why a plan was recommended, and you can always swap recipes or ask for changes.
Personalisation
Can LazyMeals plan for a whole household?
Yes. You can add the people you cook for, including children who don’t have their own account, and choose who each meal plan includes.
Can different household members have different preferences?
Yes. Each person can have their own preferences, and LazyMeals takes all of them into account. Household members with their own account manage their own preferences.
Practical
Does LazyMeals create a grocery list?
Yes. Your grocery list is built from your meal plan. You can view it by ingredient or by recipe, tick items off and add your own.
Can I change my meal plan?
Yes. You can swap recipes, describe changes in your own words, change portions, move meals to another day, and add or remove recipes.
Does LazyMeals work for families?
Yes. LazyMeals was designed for households. It sets portions for adults and children, plans leftovers and keeps track of everyone’s preferences.
Who can create a LazyMeals account?
LazyMeals accounts are for adults aged 18 and over. Adults can still plan for the whole family by adding household profiles for children, with their preferences and allergies.
Pricing and launch
Is LazyMeals free?
Yes, LazyMeals has a free plan. There are also two paid plans, Premium and Unlimited, with more active meal plans, more AI help and advanced features. People who join and confirm the early-access list before launch get 50% off the first billing period of their first paid plan: the first month on monthly billing, or the first year on yearly billing.
How much does LazyMeals cost?
Free costs nothing. Premium costs €5 per month, or €48 per year (€4 per month). Unlimited costs €9 per month, or €84 per year (€7 per month). The pricing page shows what each plan includes. Prices include applicable VAT.
What happens if I downgrade or cancel?
Nothing changes straight away. You keep your current plan and all its features until the end of the billing period you’ve paid for, and the new plan (or the Free plan, if you cancel) starts after that. Nothing is deleted: if you have more meal plans than the new plan allows, your most recent plans stay active and older ones are locked until you upgrade again.
When will LazyMeals launch?
LazyMeals is coming to Android first, with iOS planned. We haven’t announced a date yet. Join the early-access list to hear first.
